Today’s agriculture faces unprecedented challenges due to climate change, prolonged droughts, and the inefficiency of traditional practices. In countries such as Spain and Egypt, extreme water scarcity and rising temperatures threaten food security and agricultural profitability. Our goal is to transform this reality through digitalization and efficient resource management.

What is SPASPID?

SPASPID is a comprehensive, bilingual technology solution (web and mobile) designed to help farmers optimize their crops in real time through three technological pillars:

IOT MONITORING

Deployment of smart sensor networks in the field to measure soil moisture, nutrient levels, and weather conditions in real time.

Predictive Artificial Intelligence:

Advanced algorithms that predict exact irrigation needs, optimize fertilization, and provide early warnings of pests.

Blockchain Security:

The entire platform and the Decision Support System (DSS) are protected by blockchain technology to ensure the traceability, privacy, and integrity of each farm’s data.

Expected Impact

The SPASPID project will be tested on five pilot farms in Spain and Egypt over two growing seasons to achieve the following environmental and economic objectives:
